Gabriel Calderon serves as the Director of Christian Education.  He coordinates the Sunday school program, Confirmation, and plans special children’s events. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Microbiology and a minor in Chemistry.  While he originally planned on becoming a doctor, he felt the need to pursue youth ministry.  He went to Chicago Theological Seminary where he earned a Master of Divinity. 

Gabriel’s interests are as varied as his background.  He loves reading material on the early Christian church, different faith traditions, psychology, and mythology.  He is also a collector of Star Wars memorabilia.
