         Children's Choirs

The Angel Choir, directed by Sherry Flugel and Lora Ilhardt, includes children ages four through first grade. This group performs two to three times a year. It is a great way to introduce children to the joy of group singing without a huge commitment.

The Joyful Noise Choir, directed by Michele Hecht, includes children grades two through five who enjoy singing. Joyful Noise meets every Thursday from 6:00 - 7:00pm and performs in worship several times throughout the year. Kids can join at any time and do not need to be members of First Congregational Church.

The Junior High Singers, directed by Jeff Haeger, includes boys and girls in grades six through eight; participants do not need to be members of First Congregational Church. There are opportunities to perform throughout the year, rehearsing on an occasional basis. The kids sing fun, inspirational, age-appropriate music that promotes good singing skills and a love of music.

High School Singers are invited to sing with the two adult choirs and/or perform in small groups.

         Handbells
The handbell choir, directed by Matthew Prins, performs several times throughout the year for worship services. This group is open to youth (beginning grade six) through adults. No ringing experience is required. The group rehearses every Tuesday from 7:45 - 9:00pm.

           Instrumentalists

Soloists and instrumentalists are invited to share their talents during Sunday morning worship services. On special occasions, we invite players to participate in a large ensemble, such as an orchestra.

Taize Ensemble

Experienced instrumentalists are invited to play in a small ensemble on Communion Sundays (the first Sunday of each month). In general, we use music from the Taize community of France; this music is prayerful and repetitive.
